Thank you for your interest in professional design services from ELA. The design process is the beginning of any landscape project. This process involves a design professional's time for creative artistic ideas combined with practical installation, procedures, and job costing solutions to fit your budget.

The design process is the first step in creating beautiful, functional, outdoor living spaces, and landscape gardens that are best suited for your particular outdoor environment. Our design process takes your ideas, and combines them with our expertise to achieve just the right creative balance. Yes, the design fee is an up-front cost, but this cost is minimal when compared to the added expense of attempting a project without this valuable tool. A properly planned landscape or hardscape can actually save you money on the installation process by eliminating costly errors. We pride ourselves on listening to your needs and achieving your goals, and we will work within your specified budget.

In order to assure there is a clear understanding between our clients and our office, it is our normal procedure to prepare a Letter of Agreement that outlines the extent of our services and the responsibilities of our client. This letter shall constitute the complete and total agreement between yourselves (“Owner” or “Client”) and Environmental Landscape Associates, Inc (“ELA or “designer”).

SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY ELA:

   1. Time necessary for project support (e.g., property measurements, site visits, client        meetings, educational assistance, research for design, etc.
   2. Drafting a schematic landscape concept tailored to your personalities
   3. Preliminary design presentations using a “rough” plan view design. This presentation        offers you the opportunity to give feedback and help make the design fit your budget
   4. Presentation of revised schematic landscape design concept. Design will show house        located on lot with structures labeled and conceptual planting scheme.

AREA TO BE DESIGNED:____________________________________________

The above areas to be developed will be presented conceptually in plan view, at a scale    suitable for the size of the site, and will/will not include perspective drawing(s) (not    to scale).
Design / construction drawings of structures or like detailed elements are not a part of    this agreement.
Exact plant selection is not part of this agreement. Plant material is labeled generically.    (example: Shade tree, Flowering tree, Shrub, Perennial Flowers, etc.)

(ELA can hire a surveyor to provide this information if you do not have it)

   3. Furnish ‘ELA’ with any pertinent information that describes restriction imposed on the        property, including permit restrictions. (ELA can provide research with the township        upon request)

   4. In order to avoid delay in the orderly progress of work, designate an authorized        representative to review plans, materials and correspondence (contracts, change        orders, etc.) in a timely manner and respond with written approval or rejection.
