General Overview
The Prairie Garden was a perfect example of the landscape complementing the architecture of the building. The sprawling nature if the log home is repeated in the loose pastoral views of meadows, shrub, and tree groupings. Indigenous plantings and careful planning complete the organic nature of this project.

Top - The many beautiful Prairie Gardens accenting the residence. The Gardens include many types of Ornamental Grasses and Colorful Perennials. Row Two - A simplistic Drive Island planting consists of Paperbark Maples, Daylilies, and Lilly Turf. Argillite Stone Curbing, borders the bed creating a clean edge. To the right of the drive island is the Sand Mound creatively concealed by perennials. Row Three - Fire Pit and Large Pond with water fowl and naturalist plantings. Directly Above - Remaining logs from residence were used to create this meandering staircase. River Birch and Sweetbay Magnolia were used. They are surrounded by Blackeyed Susans, Ornamental Grasses, Gayfeather, and Butterfly Bush. |
